Mid-America's Investment Sales Group Closes on Sale of Grafton Commons in Wisconsin   

GRAFTON, Wisc.  (January 19, 2010) – Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based Mid-America Real Estate Corporation’s Investment Sales Group announced the sale of 238,816-square-foot Grafton Commons in Grafton, Wisc., to a private REIT managed by Inland Real Estate for $37 million. Mid-America's Rick Drogosz and Bonnie Tripton, along with Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin’s Dan Cohen represented the seller/developer, Continental Properties of Milwaukee, Wisc. Inland Real Estate, headquartered in Oak Brook, Ill., was self-represented.  

Grafton Commons is located on the northeast corner of Port Washington Road and Highway 60 in Grafton, Wisc., approximately 20 miles north of Milwaukee, off I-43. Anchor tenants for the power center include Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, PetSmart, and Michaels, with Costco as a shadow anchor. Grafton Commons is the first place recipient of the “Best New Retail Development of 2009” award presented by The Business Journal of Milwaukee. Mid-America Real Estate-Wisconsin is the center’s exclusive leasing representative.
