Mid-America Completes Sale of The Foundry to Curbline Properties
August 7, 2026
Mid-America Real Estate Corporation’s Investment Sales Group recently represented the Seller in the sale of The Foundry, a 35,469-square-foot neighborhood shopping center located at 2070-2112 North Clybourn Avenue in Chicago’s dense Lincoln Park neighborhood. The center is positioned directly in front of the planned Foundry Park mixed-use redevelopment project, anticipated to add over 3,700 residential units to the market.
The Foundry features convenience, necessity-oriented tenants such as Men’s Wearhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dirk’s Fish & Gourmet Market, Sploot Veterinary Care, Arfit Dog Therapy, and Sherwin Williams, benefitting from the outstanding affluent demographic profile in the surrounding Chicago North Side neighborhoods: over 55,000 people live within one mile of the center, with average household incomes over $230,000. The center is currently 86% occupied and features surface parking, an anomaly for street front retail in the Clybourn Avenue retail corridor.
Mid-America Real Estate Corporation Principal and Managing Broker Ben Wineman served as the exclusive listing broker on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The center was acquired by the public REIT, Curbline Properties.
