CHICAGO (February 9, 2021) – Mid-America Real Estate Corporation’s Investment Sales team recently brokered the sale of Shops at Mattoon Marketplace in Mattoon, Illinois. The 9,852 square-foot retail center was purchased by Oshkosh, Wisconsin -based Discovery Properties for $3.735 million.

Shops at Mattoon Marketplace is located at the southeast corner of Charleston Avenue (State Route 16) and Dettro Drive just west of a full interchange with Interstate 57 in Mattoon, Coles County, Illinois and 10 miles west of Charleston, the home of Eastern Illinois University.

The center is 100% leased to a complementary mix of national tenants operating on long-term leases including Starbucks, OSF HealthCare, Jersey Mike’s Subs, AT&T, and Great Clips.

Mid-America Real Estate Corporation Associate Vice President Emily Gadomski and Principal Rick Drogosz were the exclusive brokers in the transaction on behalf of the seller, Indianapolis-based Thompson Thrift. Matt Brooks with Faris Lee Investments represented the buyer on the sale.
